Now, I know that some of you may already know a bit about me, that’s that’s awesome- I really appreciate your continued support for my little venture! However, I am aware that a lot of people
will be reading this thinking, who is this girl, and why should I pay her any attention?
Which are entirely reasonable, and very good questions :
)So, for those who don’t know, my name is Rosie, and I own Little Vixen Designs. I’m based in the UK (in a small town slap bang between the cities of Nottingham and Derby)
I’m not a naturally photogenic person, so it took me a while to find a relatively recent picture of myself where it didn’t look like I was bored or was pulling a weird face. This is about as good
as it gets, I’m afraid (plus there’s a lovely view of Derbyshire in the background from when the boyfriend and I went for a slightly windswept wander in the Peak District, so if you don’t want to
look at me, at least there’s a nice view of what I think might be Matlock)
Urgh. Horrible, isn’t it, to think that this is the only half decent photo I can find of myself lol. Oh well
Anyway, I started my little business in 2011 after a few years of working in craft shops, where part of my role became helping brides design and make their own wedding invitations.
Whilst I loved that couples were choosing to make their wedding stationery, I found that many couples found themselves on the DIY route simply because they were unable to find invitations to
adequately reflect their wedding style at a price they could afford.
Unfortunately, I saw that these happy and excited people quite often became very unhappy whilst making their invites, because they lacked the necessary skills to make them to a high
standard (and frankly, it takes a long time and there’s more fun things to do in preparation for a wedding!)
That isn’t how it should
be! Wedding planning should be fun and exciting, not a chore!
So, being my creative self, I put into good use my card making and design skills and launched a range of wedding invitation designs, with the aim of showcasing a wide range of designs with a
number of price points to help couples get their perfect wedding stationery that’s within their budget. Since then, I’ve added lots of new designs, style variations and items such as table plans,
as well as working on lots of unique designs created from specifications from the bride and groom (which is so much fun!)
In the time I’ve been working in the wedding industry, I’ve uncovered lots of information that I’d love to share with you, so if you take a
detour to my website, you’ll find a downloadable info pack on the designs
page that has a little more information about me and how I work, plus some check lists and other helpful things that will hopefully make your life a bit easier when it comes to getting
your wedding stationery sorted out (and if you have any questions at all, please email me at email@example.com and I’ll be more than happy to help!)
So, now you know a little more about the origins of my business :)
Honestly, that occupies rather a lot of my time, as you might imagine, but when I’m not thinking about wedding stationery, I’m generally making something else, whether it’s knitting or crochet,
needle felting, baking or sketching. I just generally get restless when I’m not making anything, I guess! Oh, and I like to read, and have a bit of a fondness for learning foreign languages
– well, I can pretty much just manage a few words or phrases of in a variety of European languages, usually food based, because, you know, priorities hehe
Which is pretty much me in a nutshell :) I’d love to get to know you a little too, so please feel free to leave me a few lines about yourself and your wedding in the comments section
